Weightlifting is not typically a high impact sport – but it can still place your feet and lower limbs under intense strain, especially if you are prone to poor form, suffer from overpronation or supination, or have an existing foot condition that’s causing you to shift your weight unevenly during your sets.

Your New Secret Weapon

The Arch Supports from Foot Theory slip quickly and effortlessly into your training shoes to provide unrivaled support and cushioning. Our inserts are perfect for all weightlifters who need more assistance with their feet, as they work by aligning the body, absorbing excess shock while providing an optimal level of protection against pronation or supination. This can cause pain and decrease your performance.

Instant Balance

These high-performance products are trusted by weight trainers and athletes worldwide. They are clinically proven to have a significant improvement on scores for balance, functional mobility, and pain reduction in the back and lower extremities.

Why You Need Arch Supports For Weightlifting

Great foot posture and foot function are extremely important for weight training. If you’re not pushing off from a stable base, you’re going to be placing unnecessary stress on your feet, ankles, knees and the rest of your musculoskeletal system, not to mention opening yourself up to all kinds of injuries.

Wearing our weightlifting insoles will help to keep many common problems at bay, including back strain, knee pain, and stress to the neck and the spine.

Shoe insoles are a real game-changer for weightlifters who have collapsed arches, too. Flat feet lack the structural support that prevents them from collapsing into the ground and causing irregular twisting in the ankles and shins. Orthotic insoles work to correct these poor foot mechanics by cushioning the undersides of the feet and providing a strong, secure foundation for the joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons that keep us moving flexibly and efficiently.

Clinical Studies

Consider the following summary of studies:

"Less muscular effort was needed to maintain balance. The reduced muscular effort may provide greater endurance for people while performing dynamic activities."

Department of Exercise and Sport Science
East Carolina University - Biomechanics Lab

"The [Arch Supports from Foot Theory®] can change the motion of the foot, therefore altering ankle, knee, and hip joint motion and upper body movement. Reduction of forces on the joints would be consistent with decreases in back and knee pain reported."

Biomechanics Evaluation Laboratory
Michigan State University – College of Engineering

"The support [Arch Support from Foot Theory] appears to be an unusual design providing both support and stability with little unwanted secondary effects."

Kendall Orthotics, Inc.
Institutions Supplying Measurement:
California College of Podiatry

In 2004, a clinical study of 67 generally healthy older men and women was conducted at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia, using the [Foot Theory] arch support. The study showed a statistically significant improvement in scores for balance, functional mobility, and pain reduction in the back and lower extremities, excluding the ankle. In addition, 85.1% of participants reported that they benefited from wearing the arch supports.
